Image Database
The Iris Finder program was tested with varius databases containing photos taken in visible light.
It produces successful results for images taken
in variable resolutions, given a set of initial settings: average ratio of iris radius to the total image height, and
average pupil/iris radius.
The reability of proposed iris finding algorithm was estimated for several databases: UBIRIS, MSWIA, ISEP as well as the DMCS database established by authors, not publicaly available yet.
For 1214 images contained in the UBIRIS DB session I 99.6% reability was obtained. The DMCS database stores 141 pictures taken in our laboratory, the Iris Finder obtained 100% effectiveness for this set of images.
